Snacking for a good cause

LINHARDT donates 1.800 EURO to the Bund Naturschutz Regen

As the main sponsor of the citizens’ festival in Viechtach, LINHARDT was represented this year for the first time with its own stand, the “Naschtube”. Under the motto “Naschen für den guten Zweck”, sweets packed in tubes and aluminium cans from the packaging manufacturer could be bought there. The entire proceeds were donated. Already in July the first donations were handed over to the kindergartens St. Josef and Blossersberg. The remaining proceeds of over 1.800 € were handed over by the managing director Mr. Schick to a small delegation of the Bund Naturschutz.

During a visit to the site in Viechtach, they thanked LINHARDT very much for this generous donation and the commitment shown. During a subsequent tour of the company, visitors had the opportunity to get to know the company and all its products better. For the regional district group from the region, however, the focus was above all on the topic of sustainability, which was examined more closely in a concluding open discussion round. The many measures taken by LINHARDT to reduce CO2 emissions, such as the combined heat and power plant, electric cars and LED lighting, convinced the guests in the end. Only recently, the packaging manufacturer presented a world first. A plastic tube consisting of 96 percent recycled material (so-called post-consumer material, PCR for short). With this ecologically sensible innovation, which was developed in cooperation with the Japanese cosmetics group Kao and the Green Dot of the Dual System Germany, a plastic tube for hair care products is manufactured from used and recycled plastic packaging.
