LINHARDT has gained another "World Star" with the Multiflex Tube. At the meeting in Sri Lanka the jury voted the LINHARDT product to be one of the best 129 out of 237 submitted packagings. LINHARDT has now won the "World Packaging Organisation" (WPO) trophy for the seventh time.

The companies that are qualified to enter the competition for the "World Stars" are the winners of the national packaging prizes. And since LINHARDT recently won the German Packaging Prize, the Multiflex Tube was in the final of the "World Star". The trophies will be awarded in Peking in June 2010.

Even though there are several "World Stars" every year, LINHARDT’s Research & Development departments in Viechtach and Hambrücken are proud of the prize. After all, all kinds of packaging are submitted in both the national and the international competitions – from the folding box to the cargo container. The 237 competition entries came from 35 countries. Only five German companies were awarded the "World Star". And LINHARDT was one!

With the Multiflex Tube LINHARDT has succeeded for the first time in welding a synthetic laminated tube bluntly instead of overlapping it. This way a symmetrical material assembly with a weldable material on the inside and the outside is no longer necessary. This allows for new possibilities in the sequence of layers. The concealed welding seam is less noticeable and now hardly affects the printed picture.
