State-of-the-art technology: The new production line for containers and aerosols replaces the old system and offers processing technology from the newest generation - for example, the seven-colour print applicator and processing of shaped containers. LINHARDT has invested around six million euros for a new can production line at its main factory in Viechtach. This system replaces the old production line. According to LINHARDT’s manager Dr. Monika Kopra-Schaefer it is a visible sign of LINHARDT’s foundational principle - to be set up in the highest league of production technology at all times.
Newest Generation System "With the new production line for cans, we have grabbed high-end technology both for cans and aerosol cans," says manager Dr. Monika Kopra-Schaefer. The system has been in operation since the end of March, and in the intervening months it has proven itself in practical operation. Thanks to the latest technology, the production line is also very suitable for applying high-quaity decoration to pharmaceutical and cosmetics packaging. The can production line is fitted with a seven-colour applicator from Polytype, allowing for detailed print enhancements with colours and coatings. This printing machine, thanks to its standard screen width of 54, can produce fine colour gradients and highly accurate details. In the future, LINHARDT’s customers should also be able to select a screen width of 60 for even better photo-realistic printing.
A place in the top group This production line also allows for processing more shaped containers - an important advantage in packaging for care products such as deodorant or cosmetics. And there’s more: the new system also allows for processing larger container diametres than before. A high turnover speed ensures very economical production on the new line. Here’s a summary from Erwin Muehlbauer, production manager: "Our new machinery is the latest in modern technology and we can now offer our customers services that secure us a spot in the top group when you compare the industries". |
