LINHARDT’s new Multiflex tube demonstrates what the next generation of composite-material packaging can do. The tube wall of the Multiflex tube from LINHARDT is not overlapped and welded as in the past, but rather joined edge to edge. An extra-thin tape seals the butted joint, which is practically invisible.
The advantages: The Multiflex tube can be printed all the way around—360°. Then there are the classic advantages of a tube made of several layers of composite materials—including realistic photographic print quality. Depending on your selection of layer materials, you can define the tube’s bounce-back quality and the shape’s stability. And there’s more: The end-to-end welding makes it possible to create an asymmetrical composite of layers. This means you can combine decorative effects such as shiny foils on the exterior with functional layers for the interior of the tube. These functional materials can even interact with the tube’s contents—for example, neutralising bacteria or consuming oxygen. So you can clearly define the protective properties for the Multiflex tube. Depending on your selection of materials—e.g. aluminium or EVOH (ethylene vinyl alcohol)—the tube can reliably protect your sensitive product from outside influences. |
