LINHARDT
makes packaging for things that beautify, that improve health, that spoil easily, or that are expensive. We are known worldwide as a manufacturer of aluminium and plastic tubes, as a partner for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, and for custom solutions of all kinds. Founded in 1943, today we employ people at three locations in Germany and create a wide range of products. Containers, tubes, cartridges or aerosol cans, aluminium or plastic tubes—also special requests.
We’ love to talk to you
LINHARDT was represented at the trade fair PHARMTECH in Moscow for the first time at the end of 2009. Sebastian Bumm, the company's pharmaceutical division manager, afterwards announced the course targeted: "We shall penetrate deeply into the east European and Russian markets."
LINHARDT will be represented at PHARMAPACK 2010 in Paris. You can find the LINHARDT booth (E 13) in Grande Halle de la Villette, 211 Avenue Jean-Jaurès, from February, 1 to 2.
LINHARDT has gained another "World Star" with the Multiflex Tube. At the meeting in Sri Lanka the jury voted the LINHARDT product to be one of the best 129 out of 237 submitted packagings. LINHARDT has now won the "World Packaging Organisation" (WPO) trophy for the seventh time.
Christian Schubert, the new managing director, started working at LINHARDT on 1st October. Together with Dr. Monika Kopra-Schäfer he will be in charge of the LINHARDT Group in the team of managing directors. Walter Schlicht, longstanding LINHARDT managing director, will be going into well-earned retirement in March next year – after almost five decades at LINHARDT.
The Multiflex tube™ has won the German Packaging Award. Thus, LINHARDT successfully participated in the contest for the best packagings in Germany for the seventh time. There is a lot of cheering in LINHARDT’s R&D departments in Viechtach and Hambrücken. Of the almost 300 submissions, 40 competition entries were nominated and 20 of them were awarded with prizes.
A new sales representative is LINHARDT’s means of strengthening their presence in the French market. Philippe Rudowski is a proven expert in the industry and his main tasks will be attracting and advising new customers. Support for our regular customers in France, who have been with us for many years, will remain unchanged in the hands of the LINHARDT sales team based in Viechtach and Hambruecken.
LINHARDT’s new Technology Centre, planned for the Viechtach location, is intended to house the tool workshop and our Research and Development department. However, the beginning of work on this four million euro investment has now been postponed by one year so as to retain a greater margin in the current economic climate.
LINHARDT has invested around six million euros for a new can production line at its main factory in Viechtach. This system replaces the old production line. According to LINHARDT’s manager Dr. Monika Kopra-Schaefer it is a visible sign of LINHARDT’s foundational principle - to be set up in the highest league of production technology at all times.
LINHARDT has increased its company shares in the joint venture "New Hover" in Egypt from 33% to 48%, thus expanding its commitment in the Arabian region. Manager Walter Schlicht says it is an important step towards a majority share as a medium-term goal.
LINHARDT’s initiative “Donations instead of Business Gifts” is designed to send a signal during the Christmas season: in 2007 Euro 10,000 were therefore donated to the children’s hospital project KUNO, Regensburg and another Euro 10.000 to the association “Aktion PiT – Togo Hilfe e.V.” to build a new school in Africa. Classes started up in Matema only recently: the shining eyes of children reflect their gratitude for the generous help from Germany.
Effective conservation comes from good ideas - at Linhardt, we’re sure of that. Every one of our employees is involved in developing ideas for harmonising ecology and economy in our company. Recently we even gave out prizes for the best suggestions in a competition. This means we encourage environmental conservation at the micro-level, at every worker’s position. And on the large scale too: Every time we spend millions on new systems, the environment is helped. Even now we use the excess warmth created in factories, we recycle the water in our rinsing systems, we reduce the use of solvents. In future we want to work with organic plastics, solar technology, and combined heat and power units to provide our factories with clean energy. It’s worth all the effort, because we are fulfilling our responsibility not only to the next generation, but also to our employees and to you, our customers.
I invite you to browse the environmental conservation information in our new web pages!
Yours,
Walter Schlicht,
Dr. Monika Kopra-Schaefer,
Christian Schubert
